We accept any type of digital format (.wav, .aiff, .mp3, .flac) .dat and cassettes too.
The record can be cut at 45 or 33 rpm and the volume of the record depends on how many minutes you need to fit on it.
We offer two types of dubplate here at the studio: acetates and vinyl. Acetates are the more traditional type of dubplate. Made of metal with a layer of lacquer on each side, they offer the same quality as the master lacquers used for all commercial releases. Vinyl dubs are a relatively new format. Made of plastic and built to last, they are a quick and cost-effective alternative to pressing small runs of vinyl.
We use 3 different types of converters (Burl Audio, Merging Technologies and Prism Sound) according to the genre of music.
The way to think about this is to know the maximum time in minutes per each side of a vinyl. When the maximum time of a 12″ record (per side) is 20 minutes, then you could have 6x 3 minute songs, If your songs are 4 minutes each then you can have 5 songs perside. It is good when you are compiling your songs to find out how long they are in minutes and add them up to see if they can fit on the vinyl.
7″ vinyl
Maximum time per side is 5.30 mins
Best for loudest volume per side is 3.30 mins
10″ vinyl
Maximum time per side is 10 mins
Best for loudest volume per side is 6 mins
12″ vinyl
Maximum time per side is 20 mins
Best for loudest volume per side is 8 mins
Stem Mastering can be used when you aren’t sure of the overall quality of the mix. This allows us to treat instrument groups and adjust.
In Stem Mastering each group (eg Drums, Vocals, Bass, Synths, Pads, Strings, FXs) gets glued together allowing better flexibility and more control over the final project.
With this process you can achieve greater control and overall balance of each instrument group.
For steam Mastering – 60£ per track
